Restaurateur Bill Higgins and East Brother Beer Co. have joined forces to create Tam Tavern—a lively new Mill Valley spot where elevated pub fare meets award-winning craft beer. With chef-driven menus, rotating taps, and craft cocktails, it’s the perfect blend of food, drink, and community at the foot of Mount Tam.

Tam Tavern is a true homegrown collaboration. Restaurateur Bill Higgins (Buckeye Roadhouse, Bungalow 44, Corner Bar, Playa) partnered with longtime Mill Valley friends Chris Coomber and Rob Lightner—founders of East Brother Beer Co.—to create a destination where elevated pub fare meets exceptional craft beer.

Fresh off a Bib Gourmand win for his role at Playa, along with a Best New Restaurant accolade from Marin Magazine for Corner Bar, consulting chef Michael Siegel designed a menu built for pairing: Bavarian pretzels, bratwursts, beer-battered fish & chips, smashburgers, pork schnitzel, crisp salads, and wood-fired pizzas.








Behind The Bar
Behind the bar, 10–15 rotating taps showcase mostly German and English-style brews—think crisp Bo Pils and Mexican lagers, rich oatmeal stouts, dark Bavarian lagers, and even a malty Belgian Tripel. Beer takes center stage in the cocktail program too, with inventive shandies and beer-infused riffs on classics like the Old Fashioned, alongside a full bar of timeless favorites.
Big Screens, Beer Gard, Game Rooms
With big screens for game days, shuffleboard and darts in the game room, and a spacious outdoor beer garden complete with fire pits, Tam Tavern is designed as a true gathering place for friends, families, and neighbors.
